This is a road song in that it mentions streets. It's an oldie to me, one that was appropriate when it first came out, and one which is appropriate now. I'm not sure I can say more about it, other than...listen.

I would like this song - if the original weren't so deeply etched into my psyche for all these decades. Most everything on my road songs playlist is up-tempo but I throw in a few others for a change of pace. I make it a rule to always use shuffle so I can enjoy the unintended juxtapositions. Therefore this one by Enya that includes roads in the lyrics (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upkYQqbrjSc) can be like slipping into cool water if it comes up after something like this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODhMdujZeEY), which has nothing to do with roads, but is one of my favorite road songs.
