UPDATE 6Jul2010 12:00 noon: Comments seem to be working again, although comment counts on some posts, including this one, are inaccurate.
UPDATE 8Jul2010 6:50pm: Comments are working!!
I've noticed that my own comments to my serpentine post are not showing up on the post, although I'm getting email notifications about them (I've posted 3 or 4 that I can't see). The email notifications give me the content of my comments, so I know I made them!
I've also noticed this on at least one other blog I commented on (Geotripper); my comment didn't show up, or at least I can't see it.
And at least one other Blogger blog today isn't showing a particular comment if you click on the blog post heading, and only shows the comment if you click on comments directly. (This seems to work for one of my comments on my serpentine post, also, but not for 3 others that I've made so far.)
The point of this little post: If you think your comments aren't getting through, please send me an email (not that I'll be able to post the comment for you, but at least I'll know what you've said and can reply by email). It's likely that I'll see your comments in my email notifications from Blogger, but I'm not sure about that.
Also, I'll be on the road and don't have time this morning to set up a "Something's Not Working" complaint at Blogger/Google. I've searched their help forums; so far there aren't any answers, and there may be 1 or 2 people awaiting solutions to the same or similar problems. And it may be a Known Issue; they seem to have a lot of Outstanding Known Issues.
UPDATE 6July2010 9:00am: At least one of my comments not using my Blogger profile but using name/URL is readable to me if I click directly on comments rather than on the post title. It also has shown up on my comment widget. So far, a second name/URL comment of mine hasn't. So something is quite erratic.
UPDATE 6July2010 9:24am: All the comments may now be suddenly showing up, all at once. Don't know if it's fixed completely. Time will tell.

Recent Feed Problems
Just a note: I am having some kind of feed problems, with my last post from Saturday not being visible in all feeds from this site, and not visible on my FeedBurner account. I tried moving the FeedBurner account to Google, which has to be done soon anyway, and that didn't work so the FeedBurner Team is working on fixing the transfer problem, although I think my feed has a problem that may need to be fixed first.
Anyway, I noticed that my Saturday post did not come up on the AllGeo feed or on Ron Schott's feed, but it did come up at stratigraphy.net! My visitor count for yesterday was normal, with people coming in from lots of "unknown" places instead of from known places, according to Sitemeter. I don't know if you should subscribe to a different feed or not, because it may change when (when?) I know what to do or when (when?) Google gets the feed.
Right now I'm just going to hang in here for a while unless anyone knows how to fix a possibly broken original Blogger feed that is not being completely picked up at FeedBurner. The problem may be an incorrect self reference or a redirect problem. And I'm just winging what these things really are. I have four feeds; all validate but only two show the Saturday post. Only the original default feed shows all my posts back through 29Feb of last year. Don't even know where to start, and am kind of burned out by trying to figure it out! Worked on it half of the day yesterday!

Update 1:15 pm same day: Three feeds are now updated with this post and yesterday's post, including the FeedBurner feed and my account at FeedBurner. The original feed, at least as seen through Google Reader, has still not updated, and it usually updates first.
YAY! (1:18 pm): Now all four feeds have updated with this post. Don't tell me I just needed to publish a new post. Aaarggh for yesterday; yay for today. Strange Though: The fourth feed, which apparently goes to AllGeo, does not contain yesterday's post. So not completely fixed, yet!

Having Feed Problems
UPDATE: have rerouted through feedburner, please update your feeds if needed, thanks!
Apparently my feeds aren't working correctly. When I subscribe to my own feed via Google Reader, it won't show any post later than yesterday's March 31. I can, however, see the entire atom feed via IE7, and can validate the atom feed at Feed Validator. It will not validate the RSS feed due to error messages.
I don't know how to correct the errors, because I don't even know where the feed code is, and so far, the help pages on Blogger have not been helpful to me. As far as I know, I didn't change anything other than to clear the Internet Explorer temporary files.
If anyone has any idea about this let me know. In the meantime, you will have to read my site the old-fashioned way, by clicking on a link or using bookmarks/favorites.
