For those of you who have sitemeter displayed on your blog page, be aware that currently IE7 will not load any webpages with the sitemeter script. And IE7 won't go to the sitemeter site, either! That will be affecting some geoblogospheroids, whose sites I can't link to right now. (I know I know - get Firefox they all say, but people who don't have it, won't be reading your blog.)
Bugs me when I can't even read my own blog! Took the sitemeter thingy off, at least for now.
UPDATE 8/2/2008 4:30 pm PDT: Sitemeter is now working again.

Funny! I was having the same problem, found the same issue on other sites I know use the same meter, and used the same temporary solution. I was just about to google sitemeter to find out if there was any info on this, and saw your post on the reader. It's a relief to know at least one other person is having the same problem.
Most of the sites I googled that might have solutions were affected by something similar(?) in June, and they have sitemeter on their site, so I couldn't get to them. Most other answers were for programmers and were about how not to put scripts inside html - or something - and I couldn't see that it applied to the sitemeter script, but I'm no expert.
Can you do me favour and try to see my blog with a IE7? Will it not show? Would simply removing the counter from the blog solve the problem? There is only Firefox on the single computer here so I cannot test it.
Lost, I can get to your blog fine, but you don't seem to have the sitemeter on your site, at least it's not visible. I still can't get to the sitemeter site itself or to Lounge Lemming's site.
Yes, taking the sitemeter code off works. I saved the code in Word for later.
Thanks for trying and also for your wishes. I do have the meter at the very end of the site if you scroll down all the way though. Odd...
We pulled sitemeter from our business sites last night, for the last time. Way too many problems over the years and lost $$ associated with their downtimes.
Dave at Scootworks - I think it's quite strange that they don't at least send automated emails to everyone! And it would be more than annoying to be paying for their service and to not have any satisfaction regarding contacting them and fixes. I mean, their whole site was inaccessible to me.
What other tools do you recommend?
