Boots #1: Just Standin' Around
Well, I didn't have that much to write about (actually I have tons of things to write about, and tons of things to do), so I thought I'd just post a few pictures of geo-types standing around out in the field in their favorite footwear (oh, maybe that should be a friday footwear foto thingy). Mostly these are field boots or hiking boots, but some are tennies or lightweight hiking boots. As you can see, the geos are all standing on outcrops, which is one place geo-types like to be. The outcrops, all in Nevada of all places, are of 1) silicified rock, 2) unknown rock, 3) oxidized rock, 4) white tuff.

You could post some before and after fotos of new boots and how they looked years later. ;)
oooh, you love the ender books? i absolutely loved them so much - they were so fascinating in a future-science way AND in a deeply philosophical way, kinda the way TNG could be when they weren't being over the top about it. I loved them. Lots of people I know only liked the first ones, the first Ender and the first Bean books, but I loved all of them. I can't wait til he comes out with another one, I need to know what happens with those virus thingies!!
Lost Geo, I tend not to keep old boots - no wait, I probably have some behind the seat of my truck: emergency boots and tennies. They probably look pretty ratty. I'll go get them... ;)
PhD, yeah, love Ender books, ALL of them (sorry, didn't mean to shout!). And love a bunch of his others, most of them. And check out my TOS post on an Accretionary Wedge back in ...
MOH is calling me for dinner now, it's ready, I have to go!
I have to know what boots those are. I'm in the market for a better pair of boots.
Andrew, hmmm... I'm wondering which boots you really like. Recently I've been hiking in some boots from Red Wing, but I've tried a variety of brands. Hard to get the soles to last as long as I'd like!
